Reporting to the General Manager, the Assistant Manager provides support in all aspects of store management, including: execution of company standards in recruiting, training, customer service, visual merchandising and store operations.   • Overseeing the daily operations of a store, making sure it runs smoothly and effectively. Maintain a high level of standard in every aspect of the business, including customer service, store appearance etc.
  • Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together.

  • Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission.


Business Requirements Ability to take initiative in terms of business development. Ensure all aspects of operations meet the overall objective of the company.
  • Solicits customer feedback to understand customer needs and the needs of the local community.

  • Develop a schedule of holiday activities and promotions throughout the year strategically designed to bring in more revenue

  • Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable

  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Providing staff with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities and building effective teams.

  • Actively manages Game Masters by regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve their performance.

  • Challenges and inspires team members to achieve targets and meet expectations.

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.

  • Ensures team members adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements.

General Duties and Tasks:
  • Develop a strong understanding of the products & services the company provides including the duties of an escape room Game Master as well as a Bar Café Attendant

  • Attend management meeting regularly and completes assigned tasks before deadline

  • Hiring and Training new recruits: providing evaluation / feedback on work performance and set goals for improvements as required

  • Assist on general reception and administrative duties such as responding to emails, upkeeping the company’s social media channels and submitting employee timesheets to payroll

  • Assist in organizing and networking with corporate clients on their team-building / social events

  • Enforce company policies / standards to ensure staffs do follow set guidelines as well as ensure staff members are well-informed and are up to date with any news / changes

  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and creates a company culture that strives to deliver top-notch experience and enjoyment of escape games / board games

  • Inventory control: reporting and/or ordering supplies required for store operation

  • Responsible for the maintenance and the upkeep of the store and report / follow-up with the manager on any defects around the store (escape game technical difficulties, burned out light fixtures, etc.)

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong customer service and problem resolution skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Team-building skills

  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings

  • College diploma/GED equivalent required.


Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
